Privacy Policy

We built Moonberry for families. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control — in plain language.

Data we collect

We collect account details you give us (such as your email), basic profile information for child learners you add (like a first name or nickname and age band), learning activity in the app (answers, progress, and preferences), and technical data needed to run the service securely (device type, approximate region from IP, and diagnostic logs).

How we use it

We use this information to personalise difficulty and topics, power our AI tutor within the boundaries we describe, show parents useful progress summaries, keep accounts safe, fix bugs, and improve Moonberry. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use children's activity to profile them for third‑party advertising.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Moonberry is designed so that parents create and manage accounts for children. Where children's personal information is collected, we do so with verifiable parental consent as required and only use it to support the learning experience you have signed up for.

GDPR rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, you may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of your data where applicable, and you may object to certain processing. You can also lodge a concern with your local data protection authority.

Data retention

We keep account and learning data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards so you can recover your workspace or so we can meet legal obligations. When retention periods end, we delete or anonymise information.
